Self-Care for the Holidays:
A Special Self-Care Sanctuary
Monday, December 16, 2019
7:00 - 8:30 PM Eastern
… a virtual community coming together to make self-care simple,
at a time when things may be feeling a bit stressful or overwhelming!
The holidays are a mixed bag... we know they can bring a lot of joy, but they can also carry expectations, sadness, and lots of "to-do's!" Finding a way to come home to yourself, to slow down, and bring some loving care to yourself can make all the difference in how you experience this time.
Nothing sustains you like creating practices that work for you, with the life you have and the commitment to make time to nurture and care for yourself on a regular and ongoing basis.
Self-care is commonly misunderstood to be narcissistic, self-indulgent, or selfish. Self-care is often thought to be expensive, time-consuming, or just one more thing to try to squeeze into an already over-flowing to-do list. Let’s bust these myths and get in touch with the truth of self-care.

Self-care is the ground that holds you when your world falls apart
and it’s the launching pad for creativity and impact when things are going well.
Without self-care, you become depleted and find yourself trying to give from an empty cup.
With self-care, you are far better able to handle life’s challenges
and to be much more mindful in how you approach your life and your work.
Self-care is not selfish, but it is a radical act in a culture that seems addicted to busy-ness.
Self-care is where everything else begins, and it doesn’t have to be
expensive, difficult, time-intensive, or so serious.
It is not something you do once and check it off of your list.
It’s a practice worth cultivating.

Let’s look at ways to incorporate it into our daily lives in mini moments and simple steps.
Let’s find ways to have fun with it and lift ourselves up.

How Does It Work?
In this session (which is a great chance to sample our Self-Care Sanctuary, which opens its doors again in January), we will explore practices of mindfulness, self-awareness, self-compassion, and self-care as ways to support and sustain ourselves through the busy-ness of the holiday season.
There will be some time for meditation, journaling, teaching and sharing on the call.
We will be meeting live via Zoom - you can join with video or by phone.
You are welcome to join from wherever you are at the time.
If you could use a pause and a little more self-care in your life, then please give yourself this gift.
Call-in information will be provided after you’ve registered.
